The Masterpiece Collection
Defying the homogenization that big brands impose upon their hotels, The Masterpiece Collection rejects cost-cutting sameness in favor of profitable uniqueness and the untouchable market leadership enjoyed by its one-of-a-kind properties.
Founded by Nicholas Naples – with partners including Alshair Fiyaz, Oscar Crohn, and Antonio Cue – The Masterpiece Collection is supported by a Founding Advisory Board that includes the “who’s-who” of industry leaders. Its cornerstone belief is that in order to attain the highest degree of brand distinctiveness and appeal – as well as asset value and investor profitability- the DNA of luxury hotel properties needs to be preserved, enhanced, and expanded.
This precedent has clearly been established by some of the world’s most valuable luxury brands including companies such as Hermès, Gucci, Estée Lauder and particularly LVMH which operates under a parallel model.
Secondarily, Masterpiece will seek opportunities to invest alongside property developers who employ a place-making strategy in lesser travelled regions appreciated by its customers, but where its properties will provide a rich and indigenous cultural experience unique to that destination.
Mandate
Masterpiece will primarily focus on acquiring entire or a significant interest in projects or portfolios of the highest caliber. It will also seek new management opportunities to ensure its presence in key international gateway cities and resort destinations that are most capable of creating accelerated profitability and achieving superior long-term asset appreciation where superior growth prospects, multiple demand generators and high barriers to entry are evident.
